BEYOND THE WELL is an educational program. Its purpose is to help attendees evaluate private oil and gas investments, including the questions any sponsor should be able to answer.

The masterclass is designed for people evaluating where private oil and gas might fit within an established investment portfolio. It explores the questions that matter before committing capital—including cash-flow needs, liquidity, diversification, risk and tax considerations—and provides a framework for evaluating both the investment and the sponsor.

Thomas Schlosser
Vice President, Oil & Gas Americas Division
Thomas leads research coverage of the Permian Basin and international shale at Rystad Energy. He has more than 14 years of experience across conventional and unconventional oil and gas, energy markets, and carbon capture. His previous roles include Noble Energy, London Stock Exchange Group, and Storegga. He holds a Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton.
